The next Highlander series, Heart of a Highlander is here! We’ve got some seriously alpha males and their feisty female love interests. I love a good, brooding, take charge, he doesn’t need love kind of guy, love to see him rather blindsided by something (someone) unexpected, that he can’t help but fall in love, that he doesn’t even realize what’s happening until it’s too late. If you’ve read the Highlander Heroes series, then you know to expect a wee bit of humor, some dark themes, and lots of attraction. But always, always, true love
In Case You Missed It…
I love these men. Don’t ask me who my favorite is (Lachlan, Book 4) but I love all of them. Each one is so unique, so imperfect, so sexy, so capable…of anything. FYI, The Touch of Her Hand (Book 1) was written almost 20 years ago and languished in my computer and in my head while I raised my kids. True story. When I finally picked it up after all those years, I loved it as if it were new, freshly penned, so to speak, and I knew I had to do something with it.
The women in these books amaze me. I think we’d have been friends if I’d lived then in this fictional world. They’re just so resolute, so determined to overcome whatever life throws at them. They carry their own scars, but I like to think they do it with grace. The world, the English, these men, and any others just aren’t going to get the best of them.
